We are a small, friendly group of parents and staff who raise money for the schools. All the parents on the PTA have children at the Ormiston Cliff Park Infant and Ormiston Cliff Park Junior Academies. There is always room for more members, so we can achieve more for the benefit of all the pupils.
We work together to plan and run various events through the academic year. This involves small meetings, held at least monthly, to organise these events. Attendance at some, or all, of these meeting would give you a voice in shaping our plans. However, if you just want to help out at some of the events through the year, then that would also be great.
We have events spaced through the year, culminating in the Summer Fair.
From a disco each term, to Mother’s Day stall and the popular ice cream shop after school in the summer. There is always another event to plan, or proceeds to spend on equipment for the schools.
Would you like to help improve the school experience for all the children at Ormiston Cliff Park Infant and Junior Academies? Do you want to have your say in how we spend money? Or what events we organise? If so, then please join us at our next meeting. For the next meeting date, please email our Chair, Rachael Moore, at [email protected], or keep an eye out on the blackboard outside the Infant School.
If you want to be part of the PTA, but are unable to attend any meetings, you can still help out at events. Please email Rachael your contact details and what you are prepared to do to help.

We are very lucky to have an enthusiastic and committed group of parents who actively support the school in many ways.
As a parent of a child in school, you are automatically a member of the Friends and you are warmly invited to attend any of the meetings and events which happen throughout the year.
The Friends organise social as well as fundraising events which children and families can enjoy, such as fireworks night, discos each term, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Secret Room, and the Midsummer Fair, to name but a few!
The PTA run the Healthy Snack Shack at playtimes and during the summer months, sell ice lollies at the end of a long, hot school day!
The Friends have also supported school events such as the Bike It Campaign, providing a Bike It Breakfast, on the day that we recorded 170 cycles in the bike sheds, a new school record!
Over the years, the Friends PTA have made a huge contribution to the school:
Some Friends come into school to support children’s learning, listening to reading and supporting events such as author Jeremy Strong’s visit to school. They have also accompanied the children on residential visits to How Hill and PGL.
If you wish to support in this way, you will need to complete a full Criminal Record Bureau Check (CRB), which the school will be happy to assist you with.
If you would like to contact the Friends, please ask for Shelley Yazbek or Rachael Moore via the school office.

Marley in Marsh Harrier and Noah in Peregrine recently set themselves a challenge to virtually run to the top of Mount Everest (64km/40miles)! For each distance-based exercise they completed, their markers would advance along the Conqueror map of Everest. They could walk, jog, run, cycle, or even swim. To add an extra incentive, for every […]
We had a wonderful surprise last week; on Thursday 25th February, Tesco Community Champion Officers Danielle Spink and Julie Goodson delivered a big box of children’s books to us as an incredibly kind donation from the Great Yarmouth Tesco Extra supermarket. We would like to extend our sincerest thanks for this fantastic addition of resources.
Next week is National Storytelling Week across the country, and despite our strange circumstances, we would love our school community to share some stories with each other! It would be wonderful if at some point next week, you and your children could take a picture of yourselves sharing a story. This could be virtually with […]
