‘Ten Pieces Exhibiton’ Showcases Pupils’ Creativity Inspired by Music

Ormiston Cliff Park Junior and Infant Academies took part in the BBC’s wonderful ‘Ten Pieces’ project at the very end of the summer term. This project opens up the world of classical music to school children; using classical works such as Gerswin’s ‘Rhapsody In Blue’, Sibelius’ ‘Finlandia’ Suite, Britten’s ‘Storm’ Interlude, Villa-Lobos’ ‘The Little Train of the Caipira’, and Holst’s ‘Planet’ Suite to inspire them to create paintings, collages, poems, multimedia art, written studies, and much more!

The exhibition of these pieces was held at the end of the academic year, with many family members, friends, and staff members attending. Some of the wonderfully creative works made by our Infant and Junior pupils during the ‘BBC Ten Pieces’ project week are available to view in our gallery here.
