World Book Day 2020

Thursday 5th March was World Book Day 2020, and it is one of our favourite days of the year! This annual event is celebrated throughout the world, after being introduced in 1995 by UNESCO, to encourage interest in reading and publishing.

We once again celebrated across all strands of our curriculum, with activities, games, and reading events tied to many of that day’s lessons. The theme for this year was ‘Share A Million Stories’, and we tried to do just that! We also had some excellent entries for our ‘Design a New Cover for your Favourite Book’ competition, which made judging very challenging. Congratulations to all our winners!

All of our students and staff joined in by wearing some fantastic literary themed costumes; it was wonderful to see such a dazzling array. Thank you all so much for helping us to celebrate!
