Year 3 Ancient Egypt Day

On Friday 23rd April, Year 3 had a virtual ‘school trip’ to Norwich Castle Museum to enrich their learning.
They watched 2 videos from the castle; 1 about the process of mummification and 1 about some 3000 year old artifacts. Then they had a live session, including a question and answer section, with museum curator Suzie and a 19th Century Egyptologist named Amelia Edwards. Children have learned about tombs, archaeology, mummification, hieroglyphics, pharaohs, and lots more.
Many pupils (and staff!) dressed up in Ancient Egypt themed costumes to watch the virtual presentations from the museum.
It was a fantastic day – thank you to Norwich Castle Museum!
